On November 11th, 1949, Sandra Clements was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She ran away from home in the mid-1960s, became a go-go dancer at age 17 and later a Playboy bunny. Married young, and in the process of divorcing her husband, Sandra became a widow as the result of a car accident. She had a single child from this marriage, Nicole, who would be raised by her grandfather.Few would recognize the name Sandra Clements, only a handful more would recognize her under the name Christa Helm. Christa, is best known by fans of Wonder Woman as Rita in the episode Beauty on Parade. Via her filmography on Internet Movie Database, Sandra/Christa had a very limited body of work. With few filmed appearances, it would seem that she wasn't even a footnote in entertainment history. While some become famous through luck and talent achieving stardom, others end up going a darker route becoming as one story referred to her: a disco age Black Dahlia. On February 2, 1977, Christa Helm was found dead near her car after leaving a party. Covered with 20 stab wounds, conflicting reports came from attendees, with rumors and speculation making the shocking crime more lurid. Some referred to Christa as a party girl, others discussed her many supposed liaisons with celebrities and wealthy men, with some suggestions that she was killed because of a diary she kept. Christa's cremated remains were returned to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and over the past 30 years her murder has faded into obscurity. Her daughter, Nicole Clements, still searches for answers to the question of who killed her mother and why. In recent months, Christa Helm's murder was covered on Celebrity Justice. |
