Wonder Woman is now officially a bi-monthly title. *sigh* Per the article: "DC has decided to put the new Wonder Woman series on a more relaxed schedule." Any more relaxed and it will need a living will.

Further, looking at next week's Diamond shipping list, it looks as if issue three isn't coming out on October 18th.

Adam Hughes to draw All Star Wonder Woman

All Star Wonder Woman comes out in Summer of 2007. In the press release DC says: "WONDER WOMAN is the most popular super heroine of all time and a cultural icon. She has served in the Army, renounced her powers at the height of the feminist movement and helped launch Gloria Steinem's Ms. Magazine. She has been – and continues to be – a trailblazing role model to women and an integral part of the cultural zeitgeist."

If this is the case and DC has SUCH respect for Wonder Woman, why is her new book consistently late and WHY is her All Star book coming out a year and a half after Superman and Batman?

Wonder Woman will not be available until the week of October 18th. Issue #3 hits comic stands on October 18th supposedly. The reasons for this are still unknown.

On August 4th DC Direct unveiled the WONDER WOMAN LYNDA CARTER Statue.

In stores April 2007, this limited-edition cold-cast porcelain statue will retail for $195 and will include a certificate of authenticity.

In the Downloads section there is a wallpaper using images of the statue in four different screen aspect ratios.

Wonder Woman Postcards released

USPS releases two Wonder Woman postcards.

Using the same two images as the stamps that were released in July 2006, the pre-stamped postcards are available in a pack of twenty. They can be purchased at Post Office for $9.95.

Actor Red Buttons dead at 87.

Oscar winner Red Buttons dead at 87.

Known to fans of the New, Original Wonder Woman pilot as Ashley Norman, talent agent and Nazi spy, Red Buttons died on July 14, 2006 of vascular disease at his home in Los Angeles. A video clip of him in a scene from the pilot can be found on the Movie Clip page.

The 1950s look and the Perez version of Wonder Woman are immortalized as postage stamps.

Two out of the twenty stamps in the new DC assortment feature Wonder Woman. A face shot by Ross Andru is followed later by the gorgeous cover George Perez drew for issue #22 of the second edition.

Best-Selling Author Writes For WONDER WOMAN Jodi Picoult, a top-selling author, will turn her pen toward WONDER WOMAN, the comic-book hero published by DC Comics. Ms. Picoult's most recent novel, The Tenth Circle," about a comic-book artist whose teenage daughter is raped, landed in the No. 2 slot on the New York Times best-sellers list in March. The first part of Ms. Picoult's five-issue run of WONDER WOMAN is to be published next year.
